Bedfordshire artist Jane Rhodes works in a variety of media but is best known for her expressive pastel and oil paintings, the effects of light and colour a recurring theme in both her landscapes and urban scenes. As a keen walker, she loves to explore the UK’s beautiful countryside and has developed a passion for travel overseas and the many differing cultures. Her sketchbooks are filled with these experiences, proving to be a source of inspiration for much of her work.
Having exhibited widely for many years, including with the Pastel Society and The Society of Women Artists at the Mall Galleries in London, Jane’s paintings are now featured at The Norton Way Gallery, Letchworth. She works with art groups as a demonstrator and tutor and has a full programme of classes and workshops.
